The tragedy, here, is the denigration of the young women contestants. It must be a humiliating experience for them.

Yes they are being denigrated and are not even allowed to speak out against it. They are the ones being bullied into silence.

Hey Jess1001. At least the author can write with proper grammar, “…sine they was a kid”, and “they were a young high schooler”. Sorry, but Brian is a singular person and a man at that. The author is absolutely correct to mention Brian’s weight as this was about a beauty pageant. Put your little feelings and wokeness aside, and realize that the author speaks nothing but the truth here. A man walked away with a beauty pageant scholarship for the sake of politics and virtue signaling.

Why is everything "women’s rights", so anti-woman, anti-feminine ?

Her name is actually pronounce BreeAnne not Brian there’s an accent over the i that you missed. Also I’ve know them since they were a young high schooler. People have been saying horrible things since they was a kid. You all speak as though this person has no feelings. Really?! “Obese man wins”? That’s your headline. If that is t bullying. You could have written your story without the insensitive comment on their weight. This is someone’s child, sibling, grandchild, a human being with feelings and also at only 19 still somewhat of a minor. I’m sure this article was written by an adult. So how does it feel you picking on a 19yr old, who’s just minding there business doing what they love? How would you feel if you had a moment that was one of the greatest of your life time (because no matter what when you win something that’s how it feels) to wake up and read that someone called you a derogatory name? Maybe try showing some compassion or better yet find a new gig, because your writing actually sucks. I bet you took offense to that. Now imagine how the person you just made your article about feels.

Thank you for your feedback.

--Brian or 'BreeAnne' just won a scholarship that was set aside for a woman. BreeAnne is not a woman. What kind of narcissist thinks this is okay? How selfish must one be to know that you only won because the judges wanted to make a political statement, not because you are aesthetically pleasing to the eyes? Zero self respect.

--Commenting on BreeAnne's weight is relevant as this was a beauty pageant,

not a plus-sized you can be healthy at any size pageant.

--You can call me any name in the book. I do not know you, you do not know me. Thus, your opinion of me means literally nothing beyond my amusement of seeing a hysterical and shrill woman show her ignorance in public.

--I am an adult that does not melt when a complete stranger insults me. BreeAnne is clearly not ready to be an adult. Criticizing BreeAnne is not bullying. BreeAnne decided to become a public figure. If he cannot handle that, he is free to retreat back into private life. The real bullying is of the legitimately beautiful young women in this pageant who know they have to keep their mouths about this travesty, lest the woke mob come for them and try to ruin their lives.

--If you or BreeAnne want to pretend that BreeAnne is a beautiful woman, feel free to do so. My hope is that you will be adult enough to accept that most people will not see it that way.

It’s a man, not a they/them. And a man has no business infiltrating a historically women’s event. No man is a “Miss”, and he literally took the crown knowing full well he’s a man. And not even attractive. Out of shape cosplaying gets an award? I’m sick of it all!
